Crackling booster wicks are eco-friendly, clean-burning, natural wooden wicks made from FSC Certified Wood. They are designed to produce a relaxing ambiance, similar to a fireplace, and provide a beautiful horizontal flame shape.

This candle is made of 100% pure soy wax, a wood wick, a fragrance oil that is paraben and phthalate-free, and a Handmade Cement vessel.

Wood wicks should never be longer than 3/4" for safety reasons, and they should be clipped to about 1/8" in order to burn effectively and produce a lovely flame.

What's the difference?

Wooden wicks typically burn lower and smolders over time. This helps warm the wax and release the aroma evenly, as opposed to a cotton wick, which soaks up the wax and uses it as fuel to burn constantly.

Soy wax is not only healthier for you and the environment, but it also lasts up to 50% longer and has a much cleaner burn. These candles are available in both unscented and scented, with a range of scents to pick from.

Concrete vessels are carefully handcrafted, sanded for a smooth finish, and protected with a non-toxic water-based sealant. Every vessel has a unique marble design, with no two vessels exactly identical. These adorable concrete Vessels are available without candle wax.

The Candle's first burn is important!

The first time you use the candle, make sure it can burn for several hours.
Making sure the wax melts all the way to the edges on the first burn will determine how the candle burns the rest of the time and give you the longest burn time!

CANDLE CARE:
• Trim Your Wick to 1/8" Before Candle is Lit Each Time
• Burn Candle so wax pool reaches the jar edge to prevent wax tunnelling
• Burn only on a level, fire-resistant surface
• Burn Candle No More Than 4 Hours at a Time and Do Not Burn Candle with Less Than a 1/2" of Wax Remaining
• Keep Candle Away from Fans, Open Windows, Hot Surfaces, Children, Pets
• Do not move candle while burning or if wax is hot.
• Never Leave a Burning Candle Unattended

Well, yes and no. While both cotton and crackling wooden wicks will melt our 100% soy wax candles, there are subtle differences between the two that make fans of them for different reasons.

Wood Wicks

Wood wicks are thin wood strips designed especially for use as candlewicks. We find the crackling sound that wood wicks make when they are ignited to be incredibly calming--it sounds like a fireplace! The fact that wood wicks are more likely to burn your wax evenly is another fantastic feature. Furthermore, wood wicks produce a horizontal flame that warms your candle more quickly, extending its smell throw and slowing its burn. In addition, a horizontal flame will properly heat your candle and produce a potent aroma scent throughout the room . Wood wicks enjoy hearing the sound of crackling wood as your favorite aroma scent fills the room.

Cotton Wick

Cotton wicks will produce a tall flame at the tip of the wick. Wicks are made with tiny cotton fibers that are twisted together and cured with wax to create a single cotton thread. Our cotton wicks are made with a higher paper-to-cotton ratio and are twisted together so that the fibres uncurl when burned. This results in a consistent heat ratio and a smooth melt pool.
